Cyd/WY

This is the Animal Minkee Quilt I've been talking about. It is SO HEAVY, but will be very warm, and it's so cozy feeling! I love it...so does my DIL...so I'll have to make another one! I was very surprised at how simple it was, it's a quilt as you go, the flip method and went together nicely. I would definitely change how they do their binding next time, but I'm on a perpetual learning curve! LOL

First hand view of the "Sweat shop" Linda cleared out all the furniture in her Pool House and we had lots of room for everyone to sew!

The whole group with the "2010 Leftover" Aprons we all made and the personal bags and the cups with labels that Linda and Cyd made for everyone.

We had a total of 8 quilters from Wyoming/Texas and Arkansas with a combination of some of us from two of those states! Plus Margie was able to come by and visit a couple of times and went out to dinner with us one night. We had the BEST time...we had a special project everyday, the accomodations were superb, food was excellent, a steady supply of chocolate, wine and cheese by the poolside every night, after dinner a relaxing chat at the hot tub...it was just wonderful.

Well, as you can see, she is the apple of Frank's eye. She dearly loves him too. Always telling him in a soft voice, I love you pawpaw.

I was encouraged to give her some fabric scraps. This purple was long but very narrow and she wanted it cut into 5 pieces. This is what she did with it. She had more scraps than this.

This poor cat, or what's left of it, goes everywhere with Faith...in the car and for naps. She calls him MeowMeow. And if you didn't notice, she loves hats.

This is a picture of Lily who just turned 13. A straight A student in school and a joy to have around.
And last of all here is a picture of me with my sweet pea.

Got this info this morning.........thought I would pass it on to you quilters. Doesn't sound good.....



"Unfortunately all fabrics are going up to $10 + a yard due to the shortage of greige goods and the fact that Pakistan is holding cotton goods and won’t sell to anyone! So blame Pakistan!!!! We have managed to keep our fabrics under $10 for the most part, but that is not going to be the case very soon. "

Might be a good excuse to stock up............LOL
