BB and Debbie's Great Adventure

Bonnie peeking through the "oldest jail in Wyoming" (I tried to get her to behave!)
This is one of 4 Great Horned Owls we saw in a friend's yard. There were the mom and dad and two little ones. They were facinating to watch!

What are the chances of this??? The mom and dad and baby Bald Eagle. We went to a great quilt shop in Urie, Wyoming and then went through Seedskadee National Refuge on the way back.

This is place to die for...it's called Green River Lakes, and Square Top Mountain in the background. It was a bumpy dusty road out there, but we went as far you you can travel in motorized vehicles. Left to right, my good friend AlBe, BB, and Debbie.

This is of course where it all started, they flew into Jackson Hole our nearest airport. We drove into Teton Park and went site seeing in Jackson, then drove home to Pinedale that first day.

BB and Debbie (another friend from TX) came to visit me last week. We had so much fun, some of you followed along with us in spirit every day! Just a few pictures to share

One is just a simple quilt for Faith with Dora the Explorer on it. Guess it goes all over with her.
The other is a lovely doll that a friend of mine here had, new in box and said send it to Faith. She was surprised and loved it.

These two quilts are the absolute end of all my Cherrywood fabrics from past projects. Both expertly quilted by Nancy Parkinson

Meet in the Middle Wednesday

Here's the picture of us about to jump into all of those onion rings....they are really good. After lunch we took off to the quilt shop, fondled fabric, oo'd and aa'd over the samples on the wall and came home with a few treasures.

This is one of a set of placemats I did for a gift. They are out of the Fast and Furious Quilting as you go. They are super easy, and I really like them. Now to make a set for me!

This is a bag I made for our daughter, Andrea to travel to Ethiopia to meet her new children. She and James (her husband) are adopting a brother and sister. They are there right now and just met them two days ago. They won't be able to bring them home for another 4-12 weeks. I'll post pictures of them when I can.

Welcome

Margie/ARK

The front half of the building is her sewing room full of nice collections. And lots of room to sew. There are 6 long tables and plenty of desk type chairs. A cutting table, shelving on one side to hold books and etc. On the opposite wall are bins with fabrics in it covered by hanging antique clothing. Above that is her collection of old sewing machines. The picture I put on here is only part of them. The front wall has many things in shadow boxes. I meant to ask her what size the room was but it is big! And so bright with central heat and air in it. And it is located way out in the country. That's the best part, it's quiet. And when weather is cooler in the fall, we will sit and do handwork on the porch. She had 12 of us there last week for our weekly get together. It was potluck. And this lucky gal also has the accu quilter cutter which we are going to use soon

Here are the rest of my b/w strips put to use. I'm happy with it.
